The run starts in Honiara and follows the coastline of Iron Bottom Sound to the turn around point of a wartime ship wreck. Few events offer you the opportunity to run through local villages set in coastal rainforest with the backdrop of the Solomon Sea and Savo Island. These islands are steeped in tribal mystery and history including the bitter struggle for control of the Pacific in the Second World War.
While you are in the Solomon Islands, take advantage of the world renowned attractions of the many islands offering surfing, fishing, snorkelling and scuba diving. For the history buffs, there are the numerous battlefields and relics to discover at Bloody Ridge, Mt Austen and museum. For the foodies, well the seafood does come any fresher nor the lobsters any bigger.
